Welcome to Your Coggle Organisation

Congratulations on being invited to your new Coggle Organisation! This guide will get you set up and ready to collaborate.

Click “JOIN” in your invitation email, and then sign in to Coggle with your Google account to get started.

Your Organisation is a separate work space to keep business or team documents separate from your personal ones. You’ll see all the Organisations you’re a member of in the bar along the top of your homepage, next to your personal icon.

To create a personal document, first select your personal icon then use the Create Diagram button – or to create an Organisation document first make sure that your Organisation is selected.

The Administrators for each organisation have access to your documents inside their Organisation (they can do helpful things like recovering accidentally deleted documents) – but they can never see or access documents in your personal section.

You can tell quickly whether a document you’ve been invited to by a co-worker is in your Organisation by seeing that it has your Organisation’s icon in the top left, next to the Coggle logo.

Within the Organisation, you can have separate folders (including the built-in “Created By You” and “Shared With You” folders) that you can select in the sidebar. Administrators can also view the documents in all of the members’ Organisation areas from the Organisation’s settings.

Go ahead and create some new documents to experiment! They won’t clutter up anyone else’s work-space, but you can invite people to view or edit them by email using the (+) button in the top right of each document, and then they’ll appear in another user’s “Shared With Me” folder in their own Organisation area.

That’s the basics of using your Organisation – we’ll be adding more guides soon, if there’s a topic you’d like to see covered, drop us an email at orgs@coggle.it!.
